Plymouth Seafood and Harbour Festival 2022
Plymouth Seafood and Harbour Festival 2022 - Day 1
Seafest, the annual celebration of Plymouth's vibrant waterfront, is returning this weekend (Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September). This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with a wider range of activities and expanded locations thanks to a partnership between Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Sound National Marine Park.
Jon Walton, CEO, Plymouth Waterfront Partnership:
“There is so much to ‘sea’ and do at this year’s Seafest! We’ve got our new headline music stage, the ‘Seafest Sound Stage’ at West Pier which will host a number of shanty bands and live entertainment across the weekend; our brilliant stalls will be based around the Barbican with their local produce, crafts and gifts, and on Sunday afternoon there’s a treat for our doggy pals with the Gables Dog Show and the pawesome end of season doggy paddle at Tinside Lido – there really is something for all the family! Please try to support our wonderful waterfront businesses over the weekend if you can.”
Kim Downer, Business Liaison Manager, Plymouth Waterfront Partnership:
“Seafest really is only made possible thanks to the businesses of the Plymouth Waterfront Partnerships and our sponsors. We’re delighted to have Ocean MINI as our headline sponsor this year alongside Ventons Devon Cyder and The Early Bird as our bar and entertainment sponsors too.“
- Seafest is free to attend and offers something for everyone. Highlights include:

With Seafest spanning the city’s waterfront from the Barbican to Royal William Yard, to make it easier for visitors to travel between Seafest's various locations, there is free, and subsidised, public transport available including; Plymouth Citybus’ ‘Shark and Ride’ hop on/off shuttle bus and ferry travel between Mount Batten and the Barbican, as well as Royal William Yard and Mount Edgcumbe with Plymouth Boat Trips (subject to availability).
The collaboration this year between Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Sound National Marine Park aims to enhance the festival's focus on marine activities and provide opportunities for visitors to connect with the water, by, on, in and under. Plymouth Sound National Marine Park is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Seafest is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Britain’s Ocean City - sea you there.
