After so long without the magic of theatre, Ivybridge Theatre Company took it upon themselves to welcome families and children back to the Watermark with open arms this weekend.
With Pantoland's favourites trapped inside their magical land and no magic available to release them to their festive bookings, it was up to some very special audiences to spread their pantomime magic (think laughter, waving and lots of 'it's behind you's') in order to save the 2021 panto season.
The cast and crew didn't disappoint! From dancing Daisy the Cow with her magical footwork to the Cook chasing Billy with a giant frying pan, there were smiles and laughs aplenty. Not to mention the giant whoopie cushion, Cinderella's flying snot and a fabulously choreographed song and dance featuring a variety of the characters.
At an hour long, the show was the perfect length for little ones and the joy in the room was electric. With the Pantometer newly re-filled, the children truly believed that their magic had saved the festive season - something very special to behold.
Keep an eye out for whatever this group is up to next, as it's certainly not to be missed!
