Saturday 7 to Sunday 15 September
Dartmoor Walking Festival
This nine-day festival is organised by Moorland Guides of Dartmoor and encompasses all that is wonderful about Dartmoor National Park, giving people the opportunity to come together and enjoy being outdoors in this beautiful area. The festival now also regularly raises over £1000 every year for Devon Air Ambulance. It has grown year on year since it started in 2016, and there will be several events each day during the festival ranging from modest guided strolls and children’s rambles to full day walks and more ambitious challenges! You can enjoy walks combined with history, industrial heritage, folklore, wild swimming, mindfulness, navigation and Nordic walking - there really is something for everyone, including evening and night-time walks, and ‘accessible’ events for the less mobile in partnership with Wheeled Access Group and Disabled Ramblers.
Full details about the 2024 Dartmoor Walking Festival programme are available at moorlandguides.co.uk/walk-list (select 'Dartmoor Walking Festival' from the activities filter), and also on Facebook: Moorland Guides Dartmoor Walks. You’ll find information about the route, cost, booking and if you can bring your dog - you can also contact the guide for further information. Covering 368 square miles, Dartmoor is a place of beauty, mystery and diverse ecology. Join us and discover the real Dartmoor.
