There are some new business workshops available to book on to across Devon. If you have yet to make the leap into self-employment and aren't sure whether it's right for you or not then we have a free workshop dedicated to helping you make that decision.The 'Is self-employment right for me?' workshop will give you a complete overview of what it means to be self-employed as well as the commitment required to start and sustain a profitable business. You will look at both the pros and cons of becoming self-employed as well as an overview of self-assessment tax, book-keeping and how to obtain start-up funding.Our second workshop topic covers the basics of marketing and financial planning, two vital areas for creating a successful business.
