Plymouth law firm wins double at national award ceremony

Plymouth law firm, GA Solicitors, is celebrating two-fold after winning two awards at a glittering, national awards ceremony held in Birmingham on Wednesday night (19th September).

The firm secured the title of ‘Best Conveyancing Firm in the South and South West’ at the Law Firm Services Awards for the second consecutive year, beating tens of law firms to the accolade.

Laura Lofting, a solicitor within the award-winning conveyancing department, was also recognised and awarded with the coveted title of ‘Young Conveyancer of the Year South and South West’.

David Wallis, partner of GA Solicitors and head of the residential conveyancing team, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to have our hard work recognised and to win this fantastic award for the second consecutive year. It was a very tough process and we were judged on compliance, our client care and processes. As well as a detailed submission form we had to provide numerous clients for interview, undertake a mystery shop exercise and be interviewed ourselves.

“To have Laura individually awarded for her efforts was a wonderful finish to the night. She works incredibly hard and the client feedback she receives truly proves she is worthy of such recognition.”

On talking of her award win, Laura Lofting added: “The LFS Awards are a highlight in the conveyancing calendar and one of the most coveted awards. To have been named young conveyancer of the year in the region is truly humbling. I work incredibly hard to ensure all of my clients receive the highest levels of service and to have this recognised on a national platform, surrounded by my peers, is undoubtedly one of my proudest moments.”

The Law Firm Services Awards are the most high profile conveyancing awards in the UK and hundreds of firms were nominated across the 15 categories. The awards ceremony took place in Birmingham on Wednesday 19th September.

With more than 200 years of heritage, GA Solicitors is a leading Plymouth law firm with 79 members of staff offering guidance across seven specialist departments: business; family; employment; dispute resolution; wills, trusts & probate; conveyancing and personal injury.
