TV’s Dragon champions Devon businesses

Want to know how to get your business off to a roaring success in 2018? Renowned multi-million pound investor from TV series, Dragon’s Den, Deborah Meaden is set to share her professional expertise at a special evening being held at the Moorland Garden Hotel in January.

The no-nonsense entrepreneur will appear ‘in conversation’ with TV and Radio Presenter Judi Spiers at a charity event aimed at inspiring south west businesses to succeed. She will be interviewed by ‘Devon maid’ Spiers in front of a live audience at the Moorland Garden Hotel on 25 January. This is the first time that Deborah, whose parents Brian and Sonia Meaden own the hotel, will have visited the four-star property. The invitation-only event will raise money for Devon Air Ambulance, with tickets costing £25 per head.

Speaking about the event she said: “We’ve talked about doing this ever since Mum and Dad have owned the Moorland Garden Hotel and I’m delighted that it’s finally coming to fruition. Knowing Judi it will be a lively and entertaining evening, and I’m very much looking forward to meeting as many Devon business people as possible.

“Sometimes it can feel both isolating and an upward struggle trying to succeed in business outside of London and the south east, but my parents are a glowing example of what can be achieved when you’re passionate about what you do.”
