Charity Lunches at The Horn of Plenty
People from across the region are being invited to join in the Charity Lunches at The Horn of Plenty Hotel near Tavistock this winter.
The Hotel has been hosting charity lunches for almost 25 years. Over the last 5 years, their chosen charity has been Macmillan Cancer Support at Derriford. They have already raised an amazing £36,800 for Macmillan, thanks to the generosity of their guests.
Guests can enjoy fine dining in beautiful surroundings at this famous 2 AA rosette restaurant, for a fixed price of just £16 for two courses, or £20 for three courses. Diners will enjoy award winning, locally produced and seasonal British food.
At the end of their meal, diners are invited to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support at Derriford, and thereby directly help local people affected by cancer.
Charity lunches will run every day from Monday 9th January until Friday 24th March, apart from Sundays and Valentine’s Day (14th February).
Julie Leivers and Damien Pease have been running the hotel since 2010 and chose Macmillan as their charity. Julie said ‘We all know people who have been affected by cancer and so the work of Macmillan is really close to all our hearts. We know that the funds raised are making a real difference to local people affected by cancer.’
Local Fundraising Manager for Macmillan, Sian Ward-Edwards said ‘We are so grateful to the team at The Horn of Plenty for their continued support and for the generosity of their guests. Their contributions help us develop new services to support local people affected by cancer.’
