#2minutebeachclean origins

Bude resident, Martin Dorey, started #2minutebeachclean after becoming frustrated by the amount of litter on our beautiful south west beaches. His aim was to encourage visitors and locals to take pride in their surroundings, raise awareness of the litter problem and to be proactive in dealing with the detritus. The campaign is now growing in success and fame. People from all over the world are now taking part in the #2minutebeachclean project, posting their litter-picking pictures on social media to highlight the problem of litter on a world wide scale.
