Bambinos win 'Best Nursery Group of the Year' award!
Bambinos Childcare was founded in 1995, with the business' first store opening in Woolwell. We are now in 2020, and Bambinos have been working hard for the last 25 years to ensure your child is in the safest, and most educational environment possible. They currently have four childcare centres; being in the Plymouth City Centre, Woolwell, Plymstock and Tavistock.
Jemma Honey, CEO and Director of Bambinos recently got in touch with the team here at Links Magazines to tell us all about Bambinos' most recent achievement!
Last summer, Bambinos decided to register for the National Nursery Recognition Awards - an organisation that rewards nurseries for being the best in different categories; such as Nursery of the Year (North, South and Midlands), Best Independent Nursery, Best Group Nursery, Best Staff, Best Staff Development, Newcomer of the Year, Best Planned Activities, Best Indoor and Outdoor Environments and more!
"We had not entered this competition before, but we thought we'd give it a go!" said Jemma.
Bambinos had registered for the awards, and shortly found out that they were finalists in two categories - the Best Indoor Learning Environment award, as well as the Best Nursery Group! So Director Sara Richards, Lead Senior Manager Nicola James, Senior Manager Lynsey Carroll and Nursery Manager Vicky Finn headed up to Athena, Leicester on the 18th January for the awards ceremony.
Parents were given the opportunity to vote for Bambinos; every vote counting to help them qualify for the finals. Towards the end of the evening, the Bambinos team were surprised when they found out that they won the award for Best Nursery Group in the UK - the judges had picked them to be the best in the category!
Bambinos have won many awards and are widely recognised as one of the best childcare centres in the local area. Jemma and the team are delighted to have won this award, and will be working the best they can for another year of outstanding practice and development.
"We have so many long standing members of staff and an incredibly passionate team around the children." says Jemma, "How we support and nurture children's learning is outstanding and that is a result of years of reflective practice and research."
