Fairtrade festival smoothies!

Okehampton Fairtrade Group supported the town’s food and music festival this summer with a double effort - as well as their usual Fairtade hamper to raffle, the group also had a ‘Smoothie Bike ‘in operation.

Members of the public were invited to pedal the bike to work the blender to produce Fairtrade banana smoothies, these were shared out as tasters to the visitors at the festival. The group also had their new Fairtrade town banner on display, provided by a grant from the town council. Okehampton Fair-trade would like to pay tribute to the Co-op for providing the bananas and to Waitrose for the many of the hamper items.
