GAIA SPA INTRODUCES NEW TREATMENTS AND INDUSTRY EXPERTS TO THE SOUTH WEST

Gaia Spa at Boringdon Hall launches new programmes and treatments, bringing acclaimed experts to the South West in the New Year. With the announcement last month that the spa had won the prestigious Condé Nast Johansen Award for Best Destination Spa in the UK & Ireland, the team behind the award-winning spa show no signs of resting on their laurels. In August, spa expert Shelley Hepburn was appointed as Spa Director at Gaia hot off the heels from opening The Ned in London and previously The Bulgari, The Grove and Pennyhill Park.

Hepburn soon introduced results-driven, ground-breaking iS Clinical facial treatments including the infamous Fire & Ice Facial to the Gaia offering, with the spa being just one of three spas in the UK to offer the treatment.

In January, the spa will launch Pure Massage, developed by world-renowned therapist and massage expert Beata Aleksandrowicz. Aleksandrowicz is a former columnist for The Sunday Telegraph and regularly appears as an expert for publications such as Spa Business and European Spa Magazine. Aleksandrowicz will train Gaia’s therapists in all Pure Massage treatments combining deep tissue and trigger points techniques, energy work, myofascial release, dynamic stretches and Touch Therapy.

Alongside facial and massage specialists, Gaia will introduce naturopathic practitioner, Allison Sheppard to the team. Sheppard has trained in a range of techniques aimed at restoring health and wellness and practices in Devon and London. Sheppard guides people though lifestyle changes and has a special interest in the prevention and reversal of chronic health conditions using natural remedies, normally starting with the diet.

In March, Gaia will host a four-day, one of its kind, Spring Equinox retreat. The retreat will be led by life coach Estelle Thistleton and will use holistic techniques such as meditation, dream journals, one-to-one life coaching and mapping, light exercise and Gaia ritual treatments. Guests will also enjoy evening and full moon walks on Dartmoor, evening picnics and blending healing treatments. The retreat is designed to take those who attend on a journey of self-discovery and wellness.

Shelley Hepburn, Spa Director at Gaia Spa said:

“Myself and the team are really looking forward to putting more exciting plans into action over the next few months and in to the new year. Our aim, as always is to provide a special, caring plan where people can come and nurture their wellness. In particular, the Equinox retreat which is completely new for Gaia will take place around the time of the Spring Equinox, representing new light, life and new beginnings. The retreat will embody the true values of Gaia Spa, it will take those who attend back to nature, to ground and liberate, those taking this journey will take on a new level of self-discovery”.

Gaia Spa’s new programmes, treatments and the ever-growing team of highly experienced experts combined with world-class facilities offers guests long-term plans to improve general health and wellbeing.
