Lamerton Tractor Day and Country Fair 2016

The cheque presentation from the proceeds this year's Lamerton Tractor Day and Country Fair was held at the Copper Penny on Saturday 12th. Many of the volunteers who help make this charity fund raising event possible joined us along with representatives of the charities. After the cheques were presented we found time for Bar Snacks, Beer and Skittles!! 

This year we were able to give a little more to our charities. £1000 went to each of our four main charities - 366 Derriford Cancer Appeal, Myeloma UK, Brain Tumour Research Campaign and St. Peter's Church. Again we were able to give to the Explorer Scouts a cheque for £450 in recognition of the sterling work they do for the show. Cheques of £50 were given to the Donkey Park at St. Anne's Chapel and to the animal rescue centre at Gables Farm. 

The show was again a great success with 82 tractors joining our road run. We had a record number of visitors whose generosity enabled us to donate so much to our charities. 

The date for our Tractor Day and Country Fair for 2017 is 17th September.
