Name change for craft makers

Devon Guild of Craftsmen has changed its name to MAKE Southwest to best represent and reflect what it does.

MAKE Southwest represents over 250 makers throughout the entirety of the Southwest; it promotes making practice through its craft education charity, and it champions creativity through its programme of free craft exhibitions.

Its new name not only incorporates all current activities but also symbolises the progress within the charity and the start of some exciting projects it has lined up for the future.

A spokesperson said: ‘This name change signifies something momentous for us and we hope you will join us in celebrating this exciting new chapter.

‘We want to reassure you that we are the same great organisation with the same great people and ethos, same great location; still offering the highest standard of craft!’

The galleries and shop at Riverside Mill, Bovey Tracey, is open from Wednesdays to Saturdays are 11am to 5pm; the office is open Tuesdays to Fridays from 9am to 5.30pm; the café remains closed.
