Oke Links Okehampton

Our next issue of Oke Links (December/January) marks our first anniversary in Okehampton and the surrounding area, bringing our much loved community magazine through every letterbox!

During our first year we’ve carried great stories about local Okehampton people - everything from a young farmer with a passion for running, an 83 year old globetrotting diplomat to an international soap maker from Belstone.

We have followed the highs and the lows of Stuart Luxton’s Farming Diary and gardened with Tim Penrose for the best advice for those with or without green fingers! Dr Emma Chapman from the Okehampton Medical Centre has helped us to better understand our health issues and Jason Mules, from Waitrose has given advice about guilt free wine and the apple harvest.

Some of our features have included trains and ‘Oke Rail’, the Okehampton Show, Ten Tors and one of Okehampton’s best local facilities – the Ockment Centre. Plus a comprehensive What's’ On guide to everything happening in the community.

The response from readers has been phenomenal with many readers stating that ...at last we have a magazine dedicated to the Okehampton area’ to ‘such a great read, I really look forward to it arriving through my door’.

We have also introduced new customers to many of our local advertisers, without whom the magazine would not exist, so we thank them for their continued support.

We deliver over 8000 copies (via the Royal Mail), to homes and businesses in EX20 sectors 1, 2 & 4 (with a readership of 18,400). We have a 98% penetration of our area, higher than any other print or online media. Our magazines always have a minimum of 60% local editorial content along with our popular Whats On section, ensuring the magazines stay in readers homes long after they have landed through the letterbox – constantly delivering results for our advertisers.

We are now working on our December/January anniversary issue, which is the important run up to Christmas and New Year.

If you have a story to tell or just wish to promote your business to our 18,400 readers contact us now.
