Plenty of giving at The Horn of Plenty

Tavistock country house hotel The Horn of Plenty has raised vital funds for cancer charity Macmillan Cancer Support with its charity lunches. The local hotel’s fundraising lunches, which took place before the lockdown, have raised over £6,114 for people living with cancer in Devon.

Macmillan fundraiser Jo Anne Rigby said “Right now at Macmillan we’re doing everything we can to help people living with cancer but due to the pandemic we are facing a significant drop in our income and the truth is that we can’t continue to be there for people who need us without the support of amazing people like Julie and The Horn of Plenty team.

“We are so grateful to Julie and the team, they put so much into these lunches and every penny raised is so very much appreciated, now more than ever.”

Since 2012, The Horn of Plenty’s Charity lunches have supported Macmillan Cancer Support at Derriford Hospital. Opening their doors from January through to March they offer a culinary delight to guests from all over the peninsula with many guests returning year on year.

The Horn of Plenty owner Julie Leivers said “This year we have raised over £6000 for people living with cancer in Devon. This brings our grand total just over £68,350. We are so grateful to our team and all our amazing guests.  A huge thanks to everyone who has supported us”.

The Horn of Plenty is a stunningly beautiful venue where you can enjoy an amazing view of the Tamar Valley whilst dining in an award-winning restaurant where local produce is served with an inspiring twist to tantalise your taste-buds. A two course lunch costs just £21  Or treat yourselves to luxury afternoon tea for just £16.50

The Horn of Plenty is hoping to re-open from 4th July for lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and accommodation, and is taking bookings now.  They would truly welcome your support.
