Tavistock’s Goose Fair 2018 - Gaggle of Geese Competition
The Friends of Tavistock Library – Gaggle of Geese Competition – Open to all ages and to anyone in the South West of England.
Tavistock Library will act as a ‘pen’ for all the geese the they receive to be on display from Monday the 8th of October until Saturday the 20th of October.
All you need to do is draw, sew, make a goose or write a poem.
Entry buy donation (small or large anything will be welcome). You can put your donation in the ‘Goose box’ in the library when you hand in your goose (or geese) contribution or by cheque if you live further away. 80% of all donations given in prize-money and the rest towards the Friend’s funds used to support Tavistock Library.
You need to complete the entry slip when you hand in your goose or send it. If you are under 16 you will need to ask an adult to sign the form giving you permission to enter. Your ‘goose’ will then be given a number for judging and you will also be given the number.
Please note that the closing day for entries is Tuesday the 2nd of October and the prize-winners will be announced on Monday the 8th of October at Tavistock Library at 11am.
If you are sending in an entry the address is: Gaggle of Geese, Tavistock Library, The Quay, Plymouth Road, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 8HF. Entries sent by post cannot be retuned unless accompanied by the correct amount of postage. All other entries can be collected from the Library from Monday the 22nd of October.
