Zumba Bake Sale raises over £500 for Ukraine Appeal

On Saturday 26th March, a local Zumba group held a bake sale at The Pavilion in the Park, Simmons Park, Okehampton.  The event was organised in aid of the current situation in Ukraine, with all proceeds being donated to The Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.

A wide selection of cakes, including vegan and gluten free options, were baked by members of Zumba Fitness with Katie. The sale was well attended and, at the latest count, £525 was raised. At the time of writing, further donations had also been promised.

Katie would like to thank all of those who baked cakes, helped out on the day and those who attended for their generosity. Thanks also to Ian and Jackie from OCRA and The Pavilion in the Park for their help and support in organising the morning and for providing the venue.

Zumba Fitness is all about having fun whilst working out, with various classes offering different levels of intensity. If you are interested in joining then friendly, fun and inclusive Zumba ‘Party’ sessions are available in North Tawton and Okehampton. All are welcome, but booking is advisable as spaces are limited.
