Indian Summer

Mount Kelly celebrated the end of the academic year in style with the annual Summer Ball. Upper Sixth pupils, parents, alumni (Old Mount Kelleians) and staff thoroughly enjoyed the celebratory evening. This year the theme was 'Silks and Saris' which brought a hint of spice and colour to the evening. Revellers danced to live music from Soul Solution South West and DJ Shot in the Dark. The bar was provided by the Royal Oak, Meavy. A twister fairground ride was enjoyed by many and the evening's grand finale was a dazzling fireworks display.

The school raised over £700 for the charity 'Open Hearts Open Borders'. The charity is based in Plymouth and was established in direct response to the current refugee crisis sweeping the Middle East. They provide in-country aid, help to provide longer-term solutions and encourage us to welcome refugees into our hearts and communities. Find out more at www.ohob.org.uk
