Best-selling author Joanna Trollope will read from her updated version of Sense and Sensibility, and will talk about the challenges of bringing this much-loved classic into the modern age.

Joanna has written several highly acclaimed contemporary novels including The Rector’s Wife, A Village Affair and her latest work, An Unsuitable Match. Under the pseudonym of Caroline Harvey she wrote Britannia’s Daughters, a study of the place of women in the British Empire.

Joanna studied English Literature at St Hugh’s College, Oxford, and was appointed OBE in 1996 for services to literature.
