More wool please!

More wool please!

We have been amazed at the number of entries for the Go Gothic festival (12th to 19th October) creative writing competitions - from the USA, Australia, Poland, Greece and Orkney, as well as all over the UK. On a different note the community knitted bunting project has turned into a community knitting marathon with one busy knitter producing 700 triangles (patterns available at the library). The bunting will decorate Butchers' Hall for the Go Gothic market on 19th October. Afterwards, the Sew with Sally Group (Thursdays, Tavistock Library) has offered to sew the triangles into blankets for charities. However, we do have a major problem as we can't keep up with the demand for grey, purple, black, mauve, navy or very dark green wool. People in the community have been very generous in donating wool, but if you could spread the word that we need more that would be brilliant.
