20th December at 7.15pm Christmas Extravaganza

We have lots going on a St Mary’s, Sampford Spiney over the Christmas period and to get us in the mood we kick off with our Christmas Extravaganza - this village tradition attracts an audience from far and wide. Hosted by a member of the clergy, it is a very light-hearted event built around a combination of appalling jokes, entertainments, and traditional advent carols. It requires plenty of audience participation and this year will have some light-hearted poetry from our resident poet, hand bell ringing, music and song, as well as the odd surprise event! At the interval there will be mulled wine and mince pies, and a raffle for a Christmas hamper. It’s a great event for all ages – tickets are £5 (children go free) from members of the Parochial Church Council or from Helen Sims on 01822 853784.
