Drawn to the Valley 2018 events

The artists of Drawn to the Valley have a busy 2018, with three major exhibitions, their annual Open Studios event, and their first ever London Exhibition.

That’s not the only ‘first’ because in this summer, the group is holding an exhibition of wildlife art at Dartmoor Zoological Park in Sparkwell 26 July to 29 August, and a series of workshops for zoo visitors. The children’s workshops will be on August 1 and 15. Youngsters will be able to ‘meet’ one or two of the animals in the Close Encounters room. The workshops are suitable for children up to the age of 11-12. The adults’ workshops on August 8 and 22 will be held in a room in a quiet spot at the top of the zoo site. Normal admission charges apply.

The Tavistock Annual Summer Exhibition is at the Town Hall from 1-5 August, before the group’s biggest event of the year, Open Studios, takes place at scores of studios from 22-30 September.

The final event of 2018 is the Tamar Valley Winter Exhibition at the Tamar Valley Centre in Drakewalls on 17-25 November.

The London Exhibition (21-27 October) will be showcasing the work of the Drawn to the Valley artists at The Royal Opera Arcade Gallery in Pall Mall.
