Plenty of giving at The Horn of Plenty

Over the last 8 years, The Horn of Plenty’s Charity lunches have supported Macmillan Cancer support at Derriford Hospital.

“This year from January to March, we have raised a staggering £8,523.61for people living with cancer in Devon. This brings our grand total to an amazing £62,239.96 .” Owner Julie Leivers says “We couldn’t be more proud! A huge thanks to everyone who has supported us”.

This year’s fund raising will be used to help fund a Support Worker at Derriford Hospital.

Macmillan fundraiser Jo Anne Rigby adds “It is amazing how much The Horn of Plenty has raised again this year. They are Macmillan’s top donating supporter in 2019 in Devon so far, and one of Macmillan’s longest standing local supporters here in the South West.

"Every day another person hears the devastating news that they have a cancer diagnosis. The money raised by the generous customers at the Horn of Plenty really does go a long way to help Macmillan in the work that we do. I cannot thank Julie, her team and customers enough for their support.”

Macmillan services at Derriford Hospital fund cancer professionals including nurses, dieticians and therapists supporting 3,500 residents from Devon & Cornwall who are diagnosed with cancer every year.
