RM Builders and Contractors Ltd on shortlist for Local Area Building Control (LABC) Award.

RM Builders and Contractors Ltd and Living Space Architects are delighted to have been shortlisted as finalists for the South West LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017. The category in which we have been nominated is Best Extension or Alteration to an Existing Home. The project relating to the nomination is work undertaken on a listed building renovation in Walkhampton.

RM Builders were the principal contractor on site in Walkhampton and project managed the renovation from start to finish. Design was by Living Space Architects incorporating sympathetic design and functionality converting two almost derelict buildings into a wonderful family home in a rural setting. The project took almost 18 months to complete involving detailed meetings with local planning, building control and ensuring the work was completed to their strict guidelines. Our clients said “The end result is better than we could have hoped for, thanks to the hard work and skill of all the guys involved.”

RM Builders have also been nominated for similar award for work completed on an extension to a property in South Brentor, in the same category.
