Festive 'Doggy Day Out'

One pawsome event that all pet owners in Tavistock can look forward to is the Festive 'Doggy Day Out', organised by Miss Ivy Events on Sunday 5th November. With a pet shopping zone in the Pannier Market, fun dog shows (£1.50 to enter - all proceeds go to Gables Farm) doggy tea party, Pets Got Talent show, and pet photo-booth, it promises to be a doozy of a day out in Tavistock for all pets, and their humans.

The 'Doggy Days Out' started in Tavistock last November and have seen up to 2500 dogs and owners at some of the events over the summer, in addition to raising more than £3,500 for local animal charities. Jo Macaskie and her partner Mark Shaw fell in love with Max, a collie/lurcher cross puppy, when they visited Gables Farm Dogs & Cats Home in 2015. Jo, the owner of Miss Ivy Events, was so impressed at the work being done at Gables Farm to re-home rescued animals, that she decided she wanted to help the charity. She has made donations to Gables Farm and Woodside Animal Welfare Trust amongst others, by offering stands and hosting dog shows throughout the South West this year, as well as producing a calendar for Gables Farm.

The Bedford Hotel, Doggy Devon and Tavy & Moor Links are pleased to sponsor this event.

The 'Doggy Day Out' will be held in Tavistock Pannier Market 10:30 - 16:30 with tickets priced at £1.50 for adults and under 12s free. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
