Live Nation and renowned live music promoter Cuffe & Taylor have revealed the first headliners for TK Maxx Presents Plymouth Summer Sessions 2025, taking place at Plymouth Hoe from 12–15 June. Following the overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural event, which drew thousands of fans, this year’s lineup kicks off on Thursday with legendary British band James, supported by Razorlight, Jamie Webster and Tom A Smith. Followed by the electrifying Pendulum on Friday, and beloved Snow Patrol closing the weekend on Sunday, with further names to still be announced. Fans eager to experience the full weekend lineup can purchase four-day passes on 15 November, with day tickets also available on general sale the same day via smmrsessions.com and ticketmaster.co.uk.
Headlining on Thursday, 12 June, James will kick off Plymouth Summer Sessions with a set full of energy, anthemic melodies, and fan favourites like “Sit Down”, “Come Home”, and “Laid”. With four decades of music and 25 million albums sold under their belts, James have carved out a unique place in British music history, known for their profound lyrics, and a catalogue that continues to resonate with fans new and old. This year’s top album, ‘Yummy’, is among their best—tackling U.S. politics, AI, and conspiracy theories, all while confronting mortality with resilience and a drive for love in a chaotic world. Supporting James will be Razorlight with their indie rock hits, the ‘people’s poet’ Jamie Webster, and rising star Tom A Smith’s fresh sound, all coming together for a memorable start to the weekend.
Pendulum, one of the most iconic electronic acts in history, will be performing at Plymouth Hoe on Friday, 13 June. Since the release of critically acclaimed debut album ‘Hold Your Colour’ in 2005, which included massive hits like “Slam” and “Blood Sugar,” Pendulum has gained recognition for live shows which blend an eclectic combination of captivating visual effects and high-octane drum and bass rock. The band achieved significant success with their platinum-selling album ‘Immersion’ in 2010, which included chart-topping singles like “Watercolour.” With a headline UK arena tour earlier this year, Pendulum made a triumphant comeback in 2024, and they are set to continue that momentum with next summer’s performance at Plymouth Summer Sessions.
Closing out the festival on Sunday, 15 June, Snow Patrol will bring a powerful mix of fan favourites like “Chasing Cars” and “Run” alongside fresh tracks from their No.1 latest album, ‘The Forest is the Path’. Known for honest lyrics and big, emotional sound, Snow Patrol’s live shows balance anthemic energy with reflective moments, drawing audiences in with every song. With both classic hits and new material, they promise an unforgettable finish to the weekend.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Plymouth Summer Sessions back after such a fantastic first year,” said Peter Taylor, Co-Founder of Cuffe & Taylor. “The response from fans was incredible, and it’s clear how much people love live music in this iconic setting. With James, Pendulum, and Snow Patrol headlining, we’re looking forward to a weekend that truly offers something for everyone. Plymouth Hoe is the perfect backdrop for these special moments, and we can’t wait to welcome fans back in 2025”
These shows mark the return of one of the UK’s most beloved live event series following the success of this summer’s Summer Sessions, which showcased artists like Avril Lavigne, Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, Sting, Tom Jones, Becky Hill across five locations in England and Wales.
