Gosh, it’s an exciting time of year, isn’t it? This is my second Christmas, well technically my third, but as I was born on 20th December in 2014, I don’t remember the first one, I still had my eyes shut!
I find all these sparkly bits and pieces that everyone puts up as decorations all a bit distracting. I got a telling off for redesigning the wreath on the front door recently. It was so sunny and nice that I was frolicking in the garden (I thought it was meant to be snowy in December?) Anyway, I was lying in the sun, as you do, and I found myself nibbling the ‘berries’ on the wreath, only they weren’t berries… it was a rotten cheat and they were made of something yucky! I won’t be doing that again. I have also trashed a wooden ornament thing, She said it was an angel, that I found in the lounge. Sadly, we don’t have a Christmas tree as She says I would only demolish it. This is probably true. I mean, a Christmas tree is really just a great big stick, isn’t it, so I’d feel duty bound to chew it, and stuff.
It has been so warm and sunny this month, we have had lots of lovely walks up on Cosdon Beacon. There has also been some top quality mud about which I have made the most of, as you can imagine. She has been busy doing ‘Nordic Walking’, whatever that is, and striding about with walking poles. I keep offering her sticks to use instead, but She doesn’t seem to appreciate them, She is fussy.
I have got my paws crossed that we will get some cold weather soon. We have had a bit of frost, which always makes me frisky, but I really, really would like some snow, it is the best thing ever for rolling in and digging!
And so, I am looking forward to my birthday (treats!) and also to going to visit The Family. I am bound to get very spoilt as I am the only pet and am really good at looking appealing – works ever time. This does mean a long journey in the car, but that is OK, as I shall just have a good long nap and wake up all refreshed and bouncy, while She looks all crumpled.
After our visit to The Family, we are off to see friends who have two dogs, my best pals Lotte and Wilf, and I will have so much fun plying with them, it will be awesome. They will also have A CHRISTMAS TREE at their house… so if my pals haven’t already wrecked it, I will be able to got hold of the odd branch or two – it will be top fun!
I wish everyone an absolute wowser of a Christmas and a top 2017! Licks, Moss xx
