Tamar Energy Community had a triple celebration on Saturday.
They are celebrating that they've had the courage to take up the space (Elbow Lane) to provide a place to provide local people with support and advice around energy and growing … and it’s the hub for Totally Locally Tavistock … promoting local businesses.
As well they are celebrating their Community Solar project. Having already installed solar PV on 5 roofs across the area with one more to go. They have raised £118,000 in 15 days from the community for their Community Solar Seed Loan and there will be a community share offer later in the year to increase the community stake!
Finally they are celebrating the fact that they bring people together who need support with energy … either in fuel poverty or vulnerable, confused about switching, trying to make renovations or new build energy efficient … or anywhere in between … together with local experts
