A grant from Sports England has enabled Tavistock Company of Archers (TCA) to deliver its project Archery4All which aims to make archery accessible to all, regardless of age or disability.
TCA successfully held their first open archery field shoot in five years, attracting archers from all over the South West, and was very grateful for Mount Kelly’s cricket pavilion when storm Kathleen blew away the catering gazebo!
The club was delighted to receive an award from the Tavistock Rotary club youth section, which will be used to provide equipment for young members. Members and coaches also welcomed 12 Tavistock Lions during one of the club’s recent have-a-go archery sessions.
TCA is now busy preparing for another 6-week beginners archery course from Sunday 18 August to Sunday 29 September, 9:15 to 12:15.
