Tavistock Hockey Club will once again be staging one of its hugely popular coaching camps for young players this Easter holiday.
The camp, run by qualified coaches in partnership with Mount Kelly and WASP Hockey, takes place at Mount Kelly astro pitch just outside Tavistock from 29th March to 31st March.
The three-day event is aimed at developing the skills of junior hockey players in school years 2 to 11 and encouraging new players to the sport - all abilities are welcome.
Club chairman Phil Honey said: ‘We have been running these camps for three years now and each year they prove ever-more successful.
‘It’s testament to how hard the club is working and what a force it’s proving to be within the Devon hockey community.
‘Youth is the bloodline for the club and the greater involvement we have from youngsters, the more positive the outlook is for the club’s blossoming future.
’The camps provide top class coaching and are the “must do” events for youngsters in the hockey calendar in this area, providing great sport - and great fun too!’
The camp costs £20 per day including lunch and a coaching camp T-shirt - you can book for single days or all three. The day starts at 10am and ends at 4pm. Children will also have the opportunity to go swimming during the camp.
