Neill Mitchell, former Assistant Private Secretary to Margaret Thatcher will give a fascinating insight into the early years of her premiership during a special talk at the Garden House that’s not to be missed.

The illustrated talk, entitled ‘Thatcher at No. 10 – Behind Closed Doors’, will pay tribute to her incredible rise from a modest background as a grocer’s daughter to becoming the UK’s first woman Prime Minister, due in no small measure to her incredible capacity for hard work.
A former Regional Chairman of the South West Chambers of Commerce network, Neill also operated his own strategic management, public relations and events promotion consultancy, as well as being an independent regional connectivity analyst and parliamentary lobbyist.
His name is also attached to the University of Plymouth’s ‘Neill Mitchell Scholarship’, which since 2012 has been awarded annually to the most academically accomplished new entrant to the University Economics Faculty.
